Best of Acure Organics: Kathryne’s Favorites

Acure Radical Wrinkle Complex and Line Eraser

We’re in the midst of an Acure Organics streak over here. Haven’t ya heard? (Make sure you check out our interview with Acure’s President and Formulator, Amy Halman.)

For the past few months, I’ve been testing out a big haul of their lovely products, kindly sent to us by the knowledgable team at Acure. I’ve featured all my favorites below!

Acure was kind enough to include a lot of really targeted products for my combination/dry skin and color treated hair. I wanted to highlight the products that really moved me, so no better place to start then the product that is pretty much the best thing I’ve ever tried since switching to an all-natural beauty regime. Get ready for your newest, soon-to-be obsession…

Line Eraser

The Line Eraser (19.99 for .5 oz) is my absolute, hands down, FAVORITE Acure product. The Line Eraser is not only a product I have ALREADY bought for myself, (and will again, and again…) but this little pot of heaven is your answer to most skin care problems. I started with putting it on my “lines” – forehead, laugh lines, etc. Then I started putting it on old acne scars, new acne scars, my eyebrows…you name it! (I started deliberately putting this on my eyebrows at night because I realized that it has helped them grow in thicker. Who doesn’t want THAT?) It’s like a healing salve, and so much more. You can put it on burns, cuts, scrapes, eczema, psoriasis, etc. It’s 100% organic. The Line Eraser’s rich, almost Vaseline-like texture lend itself to really, really working wonders on your skin. It lightens and brightens scars, and has worked literal miracles on my brow/frown lines, the things I am most self-conscious about. Even if you COVER yourself in it, as I have everyday, it will last you a solid 6-8 weeks. Not everyone will marinate in this like I do, so it will probably last you longer: I work from home mostly, so I am generally inclined to slather myself in anti-aging products and answer the door in a terry cloth robe looking like I belong in a wax museum. Thanks, delivery guy! Don’t be afraid of me! Come back soon!

Acure Marula Oil

Radical Wrinkle Complex and Marula Oil

Acure’s Radical Wrinkle Complex ($29.99 for 1.4 oz) and Marula Oil ($15.99 for 1 0z.) are two products that I simply adore, and again, it’s hard to imagine my life after they run out.

I have never been one for combining products. Not until this year, actually, when a makeup artist on set mixed a liquid eye concealer with moisturizer when reapplying it under my eyes. This apparently made my eyes looks less tired, and more bright under the set lights. Who knew? Since then, I’ve been doing some experimenting! I started mixing the Radical Wrinkle Complex with the Acure Marula Oil. The Marula Oil has plenty of anti-aging benefits, but sometimes, as you all know, oils can be a bit heavy, especially when you need to, you know, leave the house. I start by applying the Radical Wrinkle Complex to my face, dabbing on my nose, forehead, chin, cheeks, neck and chest. It contains an antioxidant blend of organic botanicals, essential amino acids, and vitamins that Acure says “mend” your skin overnight. I can get behind that! Then, I pump out three pumps of the Marula Oil and spread it all over those areas, rubbing it in gently. This absorbs very nicely, and is totally something you can wear under makeup. It’s a one-two punch to keeping your face young and fresh. Triple this combo with the Line Eraser when you go to bed at night, and you’ve got a heck of a potent and most importantly, NATURAL way of combating the signs of aging, and keeping your skin nice and supple.

Acure Facial Cleansing Crème and Seriously Hydrating Toner

Acure Facial Cleansing Creme and TonerMy Argan Oil + Mint Facial Cleansing Crème ($14.99 for 4 oz.) is a breath of fresh air. It’s a potently minty and green cleanser that I have been using every other day. It really does its job of removing makeup and dirt from your face, and the formula has not stripped my skin of its moisture. I use it every other day: on the off days, I opt for one of my oil-based cleansers, and the variety seems to work well for my skin. I recommend this to anyone who’d like a long lasting and very sensible cleanser. It cleans, it protects and it nourishes. Plus, the aromatic spearmint scent is divine for those who like a minty fresh clean!

The Seriously Hydrating Toner’s scent was one I had to get used to. I come from a world where all toners smelled like lavender or oranges, and so the sprayed on scent of rooibos was one I wasn’t prepared for. It smells like tea, mostly, as it contains calming chamomile, as well. I didn’t love it the first time I used it, but I did the second, third, and 30th time. It’s not a flowery, smack-you-in-the-face smell. It’s an earthy, understated smell, and sometimes… that’s what you need. It also contains lavender, witch hazel and calendula extract, and I must say, true to its name, it is very, very hydrating for a toner. Calming, soothing, and yes – hydrating!

When do you use the line eraser in your routine? In place of a serum before moisturiser/oil or as an eye cream etc?

    • http://getunsullied.com/ Unsullied

I use it at night after I have washed my face, moisturized, and put on eye cream. I usually wait like half an hour before I put the line eraser on to let the moisturizer or serum to set in. I also work from home a lot, so if I am home and not going anywhere, maybe 2 x a day I will just rub it on lines or scars for an added vavoom of softness. :0) I tried it as an eye cream a few times and that was lovely as well- I personally wouldn’t rec it for an everyday thing, but for when your eyes are feeling particularly parched. :0)
