Petit Vour is a luxury vegan beauty box: each month, they send subscribers four to five sample-size and full-size beauty products that are free from parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde and sulfates. Most importantly to the Petit Vour brand: products are always vegan and cruelty-free…never tested on animals.
After enjoying the June box (which included some gorgeous NCLA light blue nail polish, EVOLVh shampoo and conditioner, TAY rosehip cleanser and a sample of MUN brightening youth serum), I was SO stoked to receive the July box which is chock full of amazing products I otherwise may not have discovered. The real beauty of this box (I’m too groggy for a better pun, sorry) is that it exposes you to boutique brands and products that use vegan and (mostly) natural ingredients and have solid ethics. Note that if you’re a clean beauty purist, as we try our darndest to be, you’ll want to check labels as not all of the products are 100% natural. Some of the June samples were a bit too small for me to get a clear impression of the products, but the box as a whole is still a smorgasbord of loveliness!
Plus…it’s fun to fill out your profile upon sign-up. You select your preferences: if you’re obsessed with lipstick, or you would rather receive more oils and serums…etc. The contents of your monthly box are personal and tailored to you. You earn “PV” (Petit Vour) points if and when you purchase a full-sized product from the website, and the more points you accumulate, the more discounts you can use in the future.

LVX Nail Lacquer in Lolli: ($16 for 0.5 fl oz) Full size in box. Light pink and fun! This was the color of my Barbie Corvette when I was 7… it also matched her heels. ‘Nough said.
Modern Minerals Mineral Eye Shadow in Cherish: ($12.50 for 0.05 oz) Full size in box. I’m a sucker for makeup. Minerals, you say? I want to go to there.
Schmidt’s Lavender + Sage Natural Deodorant: ($9 for 2 oz) Sample size in box – 0.5 oz. I LOVE having different-smelling under arm options. For the summer, I can’t get enough of handy-sized, purse-friendly pots like this!
Pelle Beauty Luxe Face Oil: ($29 for 15 ml) Sample size in box. These little sample oils are PRICELESS when it comes to travelling. I have accumulated a few here and there in my green beauty adventures and it’s such an awesome way to pack light, try new brands, and feel BEAUTIFUL when you’re in the car for 14 hours or stuck at JFK for half the day. (Like me… right now! Hold on, let me oil my face. Ahhh… bettah! *Stop* looking at me, kid. If I want to look like a glistening Christmas ham in the name of anti-aging, that’s MY prerogative!)

The pricing is fair, and the other cool thing is that shipping is free on all U.S. orders. If you live in the U.S., you have your pick of a recurring subscription (billed monthly, cancel anytime) at $15/month or pre-paid subscriptions for four or 6 months: $45 and $90, respectively. For beauties in Canada and all other international locations, only the recurring monthly subscription is available: it will run you $23 in Canada or $30 internationally.
